DOLOMITE POWDER
Dolomite powder is the finely-dispersed product obtained by mechanical dolomite ore degradation. Powder appearance: hoary.
Proposed dolomite powder consists of carbonate rocks and has the following chemical formula CаСО3MgСО3.
Dolomite powder density is equal to 2800 kg/m3 and has property to be dissolved completely in hydrochloric acid. Such advantage of dolomite powder provides retention of natural reservoir characteristics of productive formation. As a result of this, oil and gas well productive capacity increases. Weighted drilling muds with a density of 1600-1700 kg/m3 can be prepared by means of dolomite powder. Dolomite powder is very well coupled with chemicals and materials to be widely used in the drilling mud preparation practice. By means of it, the dolomite powder-based drilling muds are notable for extra stability of handling ability. And this, in its turn, prevents accidents and complications related to deterioration of handling ability of used circulating drilling muds.
